We are extremely proud of our staff. They work diligently to meet and exceed your expectations and provide the best care for your pets. The commitment is evident every Wednesday morning as we close our doors to focus only on further training and educating ourselves. In addition, Hammocks Veterinary Hospital is a level 4 American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Hospital. This is the highest level awarded by AAHA and only about 5% of animal hospitals achieve such designation. AAHA rigorously evaluates and inspects their member hospitals to assure standards are adhered to.

Our doctors attend National Conventions each year and usually take more continuing education classes than required by the state board. We learn about new procedures and developments by attending these lectures, through diagnostic computer software, by keeping the latest medical library, and through using on-line programs such as Cornell's Consultant and Veterinary Information Network. In addition, they are very active in the veterinary community; Dr. Sheldon is past-president of the South Florida Veterinary Medical Association and an active executive board member (and newsletter editor).
